Biography
Professional Biography
Angelique started her career in Scotland, teaching in a Further Education College, delivering various business, management and finance-related subjects from SCQF level 5 - 8 and designing bespoke commercial IT training. In 2017, she took a position in a Further and Higher Education College in England, where she was a Course Leader and lecturer on the Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship.
Angelique joined the OU in 2022 as a Lecturer and Student Experience Manager (SEM) at the Open University Business School. She is the Lead SEM and Qualification Lead for the Senior Leader Apprenticeship (SLA) and Lead SEM the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP). As a Faculty of Business and Law representative, she contributes to several pan-university committees and working groups. Angelique also mentors her peers and colleagues in gaining Fellow and Senior Fellow accreditation through Advanced HE.
Angelique is fully accredited as a Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr MCMI), Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) and Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE), recognised as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). She has also participated in Aurora 2024 (Advance HE's leadership development initiative for women).

Research interests
Angelique's recent scholarship and research have interrogated the induction and development of tutors on apprenticeship programmes, leading to the redesign of the induction of Practice Tutors. She continues her research in staff development and the introduction of new technologies, aligning with her passion for supporting her colleagues in their personal and professional development and using technology to enhance practices.
Teaching interests
Angelique's teaching background is in IT, Finance, Leadership and Management and Project Management. She has been working within work-based learning and apprenticeships for over 15 years. She has also analysed training needs and designed bespoke training programmes for internal staff and commercial clients.
Angelique is also an academic reviewer for Northern Regional College and North West Regional College in Northern Ireland, as well as the University Centre Quayside. She is also an External Examiner for the Senior Leadership Apprenticeship and MBA programme for the University of Buckingham.
