Biography
Professional biography
I am a Research Assistant (since Jan 2019) and a part-time PhD student (since Feb 2020) within the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at The Open University. I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science. The title of my PhD is “Privacy-Preserving Decentralised Learning Analytics”.
I started my KMi journey as part of the Institute of Coding project, in which I explored how the Learning Analytics Dashboard of the Open University (OUAnalyse) could be deployed in different educational institutions. I am now part of the GenAI-OU project in which I played a pivotal role in the creation of an AI Module Writing Assistant Proof of Concept. I am currently exploring the development of Generative AI tools that can offer personalised learning to OU students.
Research interests
My research interests include Learning Analytics, Privacy Preserving Machine learning, Decentralisation and Blockchains, and Generative AI.
