Research Support Librarian
Biography
Professional biography
I work in Library Services at The Open University as a Research Support Librarian. I currently manage the Institutional Repository Open Research Online. I also advise on the challenges of publishing Open Access across the academic disciplines.
I have supported the transition to a cloud based Library Management System providing metadata guidance for the management of bibliographic metadata across systems. I work to ensure silos of metadata interoperate within Library and across institutional systems. I am particularly interested in the developing metadata standards to support research including ORCIDs and Open Access vocabularies.
Impact and engagement
I have presented at several professional conferences. Including:
- Now we are 13. Open Research Online becomes a teenager! (Open Repositories 2015)
- MARC, Voyager and OUDA (CIG Conference 2014)
- Using Metadata from the Institutional Repository for the REF Submissions (CIG Conference 2014)
- Reporting the Repository (UK CORR Members Day 2013)
