Professional biography
I am Dr. Chukwudi Uwasomba, a Research Associate and a member of the Software Engineering And Design (SEAD) research group at the School of Computing & Communications, The Open University. My expertise lies in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Ontologies/Knowledge Graphs, and AI-driven Software Engineering, with a strong focus on leveraging data science and machine learning to drive business transformation and organisational agility.
I hold a First-Class BSc in Information Technology and Business Information Systems, an MSc in Business Information Systems Management (Distinction), and a PhD in Computing. My doctoral research explored Ontology-driven Knowledge Extraction and AI-powered insights from groupware systems.
My research is dedicated to bridging the gap between theory and practice, particularly in agile transformations, advanced computational techniques, and AI strategies for enhancing software development, business processes, and decision-making. I actively collaborate with international research teams and contribute to Q1 journal publications, conferences, and industry-focused projects.
