Biography

Centre Co-ordinator – Centre for the Study of Global Development (CSGD)

I’ve been at The Open University since 2022 and currently work as the Centre Co-ordinator for CSGD. My role involves supporting the Centre’s day-to-day operations and helping coordinate research projects, events, and stakeholder engagement in the global development space.

Alongside my role, I’m currently studying for a BA (Honours) in Childhood and Youth Studies with the OU. I have a background in high-level administrative and logistical support and enjoy working closely with academics to help enable impactful research.

Before joining the OU, I spent over 25 years in the travel industry, including coordinating logistics for touring artists and bands — experience that sharpened my organisational skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

I’m passionate about music and travel, and neurodivergence is close to my heart — both through supporting my children and through my own lived experience. I'm especially inspired by meaningful global development work and enjoy being part of a collaborative academic environment.
