Biography

I have worked for the OU for over twenty years. I’m currently the Senior Manager for Interdisciplinary Research and lead a small team within the Research and Innovation Services unit.

Interdisciplinary Research supports the University’s Research Plan.

It includes support for the following areas:

Open Societal Challenges which help interdisciplinary teams to focus on key societal challenges across three broad research areas: sustainability, tacking inequalities and living well with a transversal theme of international development.

Open Research which supports the principle that research should be shared openly and widely to maximise its impact, enhance integrity and minimise waste.

Equitable Partnerships including the work of the Co-INSPRIE research centre which draws together and highlights co-creation, co-deign, co-production, participatory and inclusive activity across the university.

Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) is embedded across the OU in our research, teaching and learning, knowledge exchange, impact and OSC activities.

Global Development including international OSC Challenges and the work of the Centre for the Study of Global Development
