Hi, I am a musician, educator, and PhD candidate with an interest in:

◈ Bridging Formal and Informal Landscapes of Practice
On this backdrop, my research enquiries focus on how these practices can be understood through the lenses of situated learning and 4E cognitive science, and how, in turn, these disciplines are enriched by the interplay between music, culture, movement, and learning as enacted within the embodied, phenomenological life-world of musicians.
I am also interested in exploring the complementarities between formal Western-art music instruction and informal learning in African-diasporic traditions.
