Miss Jamie Donaldson

I joined the Open University’s School of Engineering and Innovation (E&I) as a Doctoral Research Student in 2024. My research explores how the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence impacts students' learning of the design process, particularly how it shapes their engagement with experiential approaches that support deeper learning and the development of design expertise.

Industry Experience 

I began my design career in 2015 as a freelance designer, working in industrial design, manufacturing, and interior visualisation. My work also involved the protection of intellectual property, including the registration of a UK trademark and the securing of design rights for products.
