Biography

Having worked in the IT field for over 2 decades in the EduTech sector as an IT Manager, I felt that I wanted to contribute to training up the next generation of IT Professionals.  So what started off as teaching Microsoft courses (the good old MCSE, MCSA, and MCDST) at a local further education college part time, soon turned into delivering modules on the BSc Computing and Open pathways at the Open University.

Though I completed my initial BSc in Computing at De Montfort and Northampton, I carried on my studies at the OU to gain my

MSc Open (Multidisciplinary programme in Education and Technology) and
MSc in Cyber Security (where my research project was on Cyber Security in the Education sector)

Additionally, I gained my Chartered status (CITP) with the BCS in 2008 and my FHEA status with AdvanceHE in 2018.

But I am not all study and work focused.  I am an avid martial artist, having gained my 4th Dan in Tang Soo Do (Karate).  A keen gamer, doesn't matter if it's on a PC, Xbox or Switch (sorry, don't have a PS).  A fan of Marvel, DC, Star Trek (and the like).  And I love my food.
