Professional biography
Professor Keith Schofield is the Head of the Business School at The Open University.
Prior to joining The Open University, Keith was Deputy Dean: International for the College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University, where he managed domestic and international recruitment, international partnerships, and programme development. Before this, he had responsibility for maintaining the Triple Crown accreditation status of Aston Business School during his time an Associate Dean. As a Senior Lecturer in the Work and Organisational Psychology department he led the Executive MBA programme and had strategic oversight for the School’s apprenticeship provision.
Keith is dedicated to advancing business and management education and creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment at The Open University Business School.
Research Interests:
Keith’s research explores how individual identities are formed in the workplace and how these identities affect participation and performance. A qualitative researcher, he prefers ethnographic methods to study social interactions within organisations. More recent projects have explored management within Higher Education settings and employer brand profiling.
