Personal Biography-

I am a qualified adult nurse and I have worked in as a lecturer, senior lecturer and management roles in higher education for over ten years. I hold many roles within the Open University, including asscociate lecturer, staff tutor and Nursing Nation Manager for Wales. Im a current Doctorate in Public Health student and have undertaken my reaserch.

Research interests

Currently undertaking a taught Doctorate in Public Health at Chester University. Currently i am writing my thesis having conducted my reasearch. I am hoping to submit in 2027. My title-‘what is it to be a man’; Does a mans understanding of their expected role in society mediate the experience of their own mental wellbeing and their decisions for seeking help. This is a Qualitative study using biographical research and symbolic interactionism methodology.

Submitted for publication- Systematic review article on student engagement and stratgegies for improvement within hard to reach groups of students.

Teaching interests

Pre registration nursing adult. Teach on multiple modules mainly year 3 of the program.

Involved in public health modules within health and social care.
