Biography
Melanie Rimmer is an experienced Associate Lecturer with over twenty years’ experience teaching for The Open University. She has taught across a range of modules including DD102 Introducing the Social Sciences, D120 Encountering Psychology in Context, E232 Exploring Childhood and Youth, and E225 Child Development, and has also contributed to writing module content.
Melanie has extensive experience supporting diverse student groups, including teaching in prisons, and is passionate about helping students develop confidence and academic skills. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and has also taught on postgraduate programmes at the University of Sheffield.
Alongside her teaching, Melanie runs a popular study skills blog and YouTube channel offering guidance and encouragement for students navigating university study.
