Biography
Professional Biography
Design shapes how people learn, work, and make sense of the world; I work at the intersection of all three.
I split my time between my role as an Associate Lecturer in Design within the School of Engineering and Innovation (STEM) and my Design Consultancy. This dual role allows me to bring real-world practice directly into the classroom, while applying academic rigour to complex commercial challenges.
Academically and professionally, I hold a multidisciplinary MSc in Technology, Innovation and Future Learning, alongside a First Class BA(Hons) in Design, a PGCE with QTS, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Technology Management. My commitment to professional excellence in teaching and learning pedagogy is recognised through my status as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I was also awarded Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS).

Teaching Interests
My teaching interests centre on design and innovation as ways of understanding and addressing complex real-world challenges. I am particularly interested in helping students develop creative confidence, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to think critically about the relationship between people, technology and society.
