Mr Michael Mitchell

I have spend nearly 40 years in the IT and Telecoms industrial sectors as a Procurement and Commercial Manager having completed my BSc (Hons) in Astrophysics in 1986 at what is now known as Cardiff University (formally University College Cardiff). In 2009 I decided to go back to school and complete a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at the Open University for which I was awarded a First Class Honours. In 2016 I embarked on the Open University Masters taught course, and completed this in 2023 with a Distinction. I am now a part-time PGR student studying Fluid Mechanics with a specialism of the dynamics of self-phoretic micro-swimmers, commencing my research in October 2025.
