Dr Olivia Kelly

Dr Olivia Kelly has worked as an Associate Lecturer at the OU for 19 years on multiple modules within FASS and WELS, particularly in relation to Applied Linguistics. During this time she became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and completed her Professional Doctorate in Education researching how distance learners build community on Twitter.

She has a keen interest in how social media is used in Higher Education having presented regularly at conferences and published on this topic. She now leads the Praxis Social Media Scholarship hub along with setting up and hosting the monthly Praxis podcast discussing the findings of scholarship projects.
