Biography

Dr Phebe Mann is a trailblazing engineer, legal academic, judicial post holder and educator whose career exemplifies excellence, leadership, and dedication to diversity and student support in STEM, LAW and Management.

Professional Achievements and Roles:

  • First woman engineer of minority ethnic origin appointed by the Lord Chancellor to:
    • Agricultural Land Tribunal for Wales
    • Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber (Transport Jurisdiction)
    • Tax Chamber
    • General Regulatory Chambers (Transport, Information Rights & Estate Agent Jurisdictions)
  • First and only woman in the UK to concurrently hold eight professional qualifications, including:

Phebe worked for Westminster City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, and Atkins (now AtkinsRéalis). Phebe's impact includes engineering projects such as Little Venice Canal Wall,  Westminster Bridge, A1M Alconbury to Peterboroughone of the UK’s pioneering Design, Build, Finance and Operate (DBFO) projects, Kimbolton Butts Bridge, A11 Stump Cross to Four Went Way, Dog in a Doublet Bridge and many others.
