Biography

Professional biography

I am an applied linguist, specialising in the relationship between language, politics and social media (philipseargeant.com).

I am founding director and current co-director of the Language, Literature and Politics research group.

Teaching 

I teach language and communication studies, focusing on topics including linguistic creativity, English around the world, and the relationship between language, politics and society.
