Mr Robert Wilson

I have worked for the OU since moving to the UK in 2016. I currently lead on the Open Business Creators programme for the Research, Enterprise and Scholarship Unit. 

Open Business Creators is part of Activity 1 in the University's Knowledge Exchange Plan. 

It involves:

• Facilitating the annual Open Business Creators Fund - an open call for entrepreneurial ideas and existing small businesses to access support, training resources, and funding
• Collaborating with Nations to offer extra-curricular programs, workshops, and events tailored to the specific needs of entrepreneurs in various regions
• Developing partnership networks to create an entrepreneurship ecosystem that can provide additional resources, mentorship, and opportunities for our entrepreneurs
• Supporting our cohort of Entrepreneurs in Residence who offer one-on-one mentoring, conduct workshops, and share their expertise through various programs
• Measuring the impact of our work through contribution to research projects and the Higher Education Business and Community Interaction survey
