Biography
I am a second year PhD student in the Anaerobes in Medicine (AiM) Lab led by Dr Terry Bilverstone. My project is on genetically engineering Clostridioides difficile bacteriophages to enhance their therapeutic potential, in order to develop alternative treatment options to antibiotics for C. difficile infection. Prior to this, I was a research technician for three years at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), where I worked on numerous projects across the areas of environmental microbiology, virology, and the gut microbiome of mosquitoes. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Bath in 2021, which included a year-long placement in environmental microbiology at Public Health England (now the UKHSA).
