I am currently a Post-Graduate Research Student in School of Environment, Earth & Ecosystem Sciences (EEES).
2024- : PhD Student, Palaeoceanography & Palaeoclimate, School of EEES, The Open University (UK).
2022-2024 : Geologist, Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Ltd., India
2020-2022 : MSc Geology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India
2016-2019 : BSc Geology, Fergusson College, Pune, India
Research interests
My research is focused on Indian monsoon rainfall/runoff variability and wind-driven productivity in the Bay of Bengal during the Pliocene–Pleistocene climate transition.
I am particularly interested in understanding how tropical climate systems responded to Northern Hemisphere glaciation at the Plio-Pleistocene boundary. To investigate this, I use a multi-proxy approach including XRF bulk sediment geochemistry, foraminiferal trace elements, and stable oxygen and carbon isotopes.
