Biography
Teresa has recently submitted her thesis titled "Understanding the barriers to AI adoption within primary care: A novel model for acceptance and resistance." where she explored the attitudes of stakeholders across all organisational levels, towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) for primary care. Teresa has been the recipient of the MELETE foundation scholarship award and also gained a grant towards her research costs from the OpenBright Foundation.
Teresa currently works as a research consultant for the Open University, utilising her skills of quantitative and qualitative analysis, literature reviews and reporting. Teresa has previously worked for the NHS at a GP practice in Wales (2016-2021), and before that was a civil servant for the Department of Work and Pensions (2007-2016). Her interest in computer science began with a Foundation degree, then Bachelor of Science at Wrexham University (2004-2007). She then returned to Wrexham University 12 years later to complete a Master of Science (2019-2020). When not studying, Teresa enjoys long walks in the countryside and spending time tending her garden.

Teresa received funding from the OpenBright Foundation in 2024.
Teresa's PhD was funded by the EPSRC doctoral studentship program for 2021.
