Mr Tony Sayer

Following many years in commercial roles in the private sector, I joined the OU's central Enterprise Team in 2014 to manage intellectual property (IP) and commercialise university research.

My focus is working with external organisations to develop collaborative partnerships and IP licensing deals.

I oversee the management of IP generated from research and its protection and exploitation, including spin-outs, to maximise benefits to the university and our researchers.

I advise on the contractual arrangments for IP in legal agreements and negotiate terms with external parties when required.
