Biography

Professional Biography

I am working as a Lecturer in Computing and Cybersecurity at the Open University, UK. I worked with MIT (US) as a Cybersecurity Consultant in Quantum Cryptography. I am associated with the Higher Education Academy (HEA) as a full Fellow. I have been recognised and endorsed as an emerging leader in Security by the Royal Society (UK). I am also associated and accredited with CISCO as a Cybersecurity accredited instructor. I worked as an MSc Project Supervisor with the University of Glasgow and the University of Arden. I have more than 15 years of Program Leadership, Module development and delivery experience in Computing and Cybersecurity. I developed Cisco and CompTIA academy programs for Networking academies in Scotland. I developed digital content as a module tutor and program leader for institutions like the University of Essex, the University of Roehampton, the University of Liverpool and UWS. I also taught Digital Forensics to Northumbria and Durham Constabularies. My teaching and research specialisations include Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Cryptography, Quantum Cryptography, Web and Application Security, Network Security, Cisco CyberOps, Programming (Python), Artificial Intelligence/ML, Software and Web Engineering, Database design. I have earned my PGC in Academic Practice from the University of the West of Scotland (UK) and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). I am a senior member of IEEE and an Academic Initiative member for IBM (UK). I have various national and international collaborations, such as the CS Research Group at Coventry University (UK), the Pervasive Computing Group at University Technology Malaysia, the Artificial Intelligence Centre for Advanced Systems (CAS), and the Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) in King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. I am currently supervising Postgraduate (Ph D./M.Phil. /M.Sc) students and Undergraduate study project students as their primary supervisor. I am also serving as an Editor and Reviewer for many ISI/SCI-E highly-ranked Journals and Flagship Conferences.
